I know it is cold and dreary outside and I know that many of us are very tired of looking at all that white stuff. Snow does start to get ugly when it mixes with all the dirt and grime of everyday life. But there is a way to add a little sunshine to the interior of your home. All you have to do is open a design magazine, a catalog or visit a showcase home to see some sort of sunburst mirror. They are everywhere!!

Global views offers this unique sunburst mirror that is as much artwork as it is a functional mirror
Wisteria offers their own gallery wall of sunburst mirrors for display
As you can see from these photos, sunburst mirrors are not only functional but decorative as well. They are available in a variety of materials. You can choose a gilded metal for a formal look or a rustic wooden mirror for a casual space. Hung above the fireplace or a bed, as shown, they are very pretty but consider using one in a powder room or above a dressing table in a guest room. They are so bright that you may just forget all about the cold snow blowing outside. (at least for a while)
