The bacteria, Burkholderia cepacia, may cause serious infection in individuals with a compromised immune system or chronic lung condition, such as cystic fibrosis.
Nostrilla Nasal Decongestant was distributed nationwide through retail outlets and pharmacies. The spray comes in a half ounce, plastic bottle marked with an expiration date of May, 2014.The affected products also have lot number 11G075, and UPC code 6373673005.
Consumers who purchased Nostrilla can return the product, and also contact the company at 877-546-9059 for more information. Consumers should also contact their physician or healthcare provider if they experience any problems that may be related to taking the recalled nasal spray.
