You can save the squash when you squash the bug

There are numerous insect pests that attack squash, cucumbers, melons and pumpkins. I personally have the biggest problems with the squash bug, an insect that can damage a plant in all stages of its life.

The squash bug can be misidentified as a stinkbug. Both look similar and emit a distinct odor when crushed; however, the stinkbug is not a pest of cucurbits and is more commonly associated with tomatoes.

The adults of the squash bug are 5/8 of an inch long and one-third as wide. They are usually gray to black with the edges of the abdomen having orange and brown stripes. The nymphs are various sizes and are whitish with black legs .

Building two 6FT. Brick Pillars

trying to get proper instructions on how to build two 6ft. brick pillars strong enough to support a rot iron gate swinging in about 7.5 ft.on each side.Need to know how deep and how wide to make the pillar footing.Need to know if any kind of red bricks are ok to use.I`am a handyman but still trying to learn more of the mason trade.Can anyone help me?Also would like to know how much should i charge for my labor?
